Hyatt Hotels Corp. has been chosen to manage a 17-floor, 300-room hotel being developed as part of Macerich’s Tysons Corner Center project.
The hotel will operate under the Hyatt Regency brand and is expected to open in 2014.
Macerich, Tysons Corner Center’s master developer, and project investor Alaska Permanent Fund Corp. this summer signed development agreements with hotel specialist Woodbine Development Corp., multifamily developer Kettler and with Hines, which will manage the project’s office development.
The mixed-used development, on 78 acres, will eventually include eight buildings, including the Hyatt hotel, a 28-story apartment building and a 22-floor office tower.
