Plano-based Granite Properties began its large project — a $150 million office tower and hotel — at a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday and showed off renderings of the building interiors.
The speculative 12-story, 300,000-square-foot office tower and the four-star, 299-key Hilton Granite Park conference hotel is scheduled for completion in mid-2014.
BOKA Powell is the project architect. Woodbine Development Corp. is the hotel development consultant.
The West Plano-Frisco submarket has been moving and shaking, with Hall Financial Group recently starting its 16th office building at Hall Office Park near Granite Park, which is at the southeast corner of the Sam Rayburn Tollway and the Dallas North Tollway.
COO Greg Fuller told me earlier this week he expects the building to be a third or half leased by the time construction is completed.
